It’s the summer of 2019. Nicholas (10) and Martina (9) are running for their lives next to the Rio Grande in Mexico. Hours later they find themselves lost. Their only hope to survive is to be picked up by the US border patrol which is nowhere to be seen. But their story did not start here. Far from just being undocumented children trying to cross the US-Mexico border, they once lived in Houston,  went to school there, played sports, and even belonged to the boys and girls' scouts. That is until their parents received a deportation notification from ICE.
